Kingcat started in the early 1980's by Jim Roberts Manufacturing in Katikati, Bay of Plenty. Their aim was to design and build a range of ride-on mowers that stand apart from imported models by offering a long life, high productivity and low maintenance.
In the years since, Kingcat has been handed on to a number of companies who have each upheld the same kiwi service and support and built some of the most endurable and strongest mowers on the market with some mowers built in the 80's still going today, fact!
In 2013, Agriquip purchased the spare parts division of Kingcat and the mower production side was bought by Elite Manufacturing in Hamilton.
In mid 2014, unfortunately the production of the mowers ceased due to the manufacturer going into liquidation so Agriquip took over the entirety of Kingcat.
Today Kingcat is still owned & managed by Agriquip in New Plymouth and have continued to provide Kingcat owners and dealers with support and spare parts.
